Seasonal Craft Ideas

Thanks to Corie with CorieAnne Photography, we have some great pictures of our Crafts for the month of March. We are focusing on spring and Easter. These are just some ideas that we will be sending out. These are pretty basic, just because my boys are 3 years old and 19 months. If you are one of our contributing artist you are welcome to copy or embellish these as you wish! I will be uploading templates for each craft if you would like to use our exact template. You can make them as simply or as intricate as your heart desires! Our prayer list and request for crafts are growing daily. We are now sending them internationally, which is exciting for the boys! God is great and I'm humbled that He is allowing the boys and our ministry to reach so many people.

This is called Braelyn's Lily Bouquet: We used green paper and taped it around a pencil and then used Braelyn's hands, cut out of white paper and taped it to the top of the green. We pulled the fingers back to give it some fullness. We then cut a toilet paper roll in half and wrapped painted paper over it. Flowers that last forever!

Lucy's Chick and Bubba's Bunny. Details for the craft are further down.

Braddock's Egg Basket: We made a basket, actually the outline of a bowl, added some grass, a bow and some water colored eggs. First time we've used watercolor. Preschoolers probably aren't the best candidates for a watercolor craft but he did well. We used a white crayon to make "secret designs" on the egg and then he got to paint over them to see them.

The second is called Bubba's Bunny: We used Bubba's feet for the bunny ears and a simple circle for the head. We added a cute bow tie and the boys love to squeeze the glitter glue so we added some to this little fella.

Lucy's Chick: We used Lucy's hands, an egg shape and a few other embellishments for this little chick. We have tons of patterned paper that we used this month. I try and change our medium that we use so that we aren't always painting, coloring, etc.

3 Big Eggs: I, Momma, cut out 3 large egg shapes. We used watercolor on these also. There are a lot of things you can do with these; larger basket, pop-up cards, lots of eggs can make a banner. We chose to put them on card stock. The outside reads, "We think you're egg-cellent!"

Grandma & Darlin's Tulips: Both of the boys great grandmothers loves tulips and it was a fun craft with the boys. It involved picking out fun colors, glue, glitter, and flocking (more of a felt like glitter).

With all of our crafts we include a note to our "friend" letting them know that we made the craft just for them and that we are continuing to pray for them. The boys enjoy picking out who the craft goes to and Braddock asks about specific people on our list that he can remember. Ideally, I will have the craft ideas on the blog around the first of the month. This month our whole house caught an awful upper respiratory bug and we like to send crafts, not germs so we were all banned from the art room for a little over a week. I will be posting our new P O Box address this week also, paid for by our first sponsor!! This will allow everyone who is contributing art to send it in for distribution!

Thanks & God Bless!
Momma, Braddock & Beckham
